1. Who we are?
We are a Vocational Training Unit of the Registered Society "Behala Institute of Allied Health Sciences" under West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961. We are engaged in imparting vocational training since 2004 to the Women, Minorities & candidates from financially Backward Communities & put more stress on generating employment/self-employment among them. Since the inception in the year 2004, we were affiliated with West Bengal State Council of Technical Education and offered the Paramedical courses with great success in terms of employment/self-employment generation. Now we have been offering Non-Paramedical Technical courses under them. With addition to that we offer sponsored courses under WBMDFC, sponsored courses under KIRAN project of Kolkata Police, Free training courses under MES Scheme of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India and self-financed vocational courses under Bharat Sevak Samaj.

3. What are the admission criteria?
Minimum Secondary/Matric/Madhyamik passed for Certificate courses.
Age should not be less than 17 years.
Priority on Women, Minority & Backward Castes candidates.
First come first admission.
4. Who will issue the Certificates?
In the self-financed courses under BSS, Bharat Sevak Samaj (National Development Agency, promoted by Govt. of India) will award Registration Number, Admit Card, Mark-Sheet & Certificate/Diploma.
In case of Free Skill Development training under MES, NCVT will award Certificate.
In case of courses under WBSCTE, West Bengal State Council of Technical Education will award Certificate.
5. Whether Certificates issued by W.B.S.C.T.E, BSS and NCVT will be acceptable to Employment Exchanges to enlist our name in the Employment Bank?
W.B.S.C.T.E. is a Statutory Body under Govt. of West Bengal and NCVT is an advisory body under Director General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India. All the Certificates awarded by them will be eligible for enlisting Employment Bank, if otherwise qualified.
Apart from that, Vocational Training is the Skill Development program. To develop the skill on the specific subject in which job-market demand is high. In order to "Skilling India" program, several schemes & portals are going to start soon to bridge the gap between demand & supply of skilled personnel.
6. In the Interview Board do the successful students from State Medical Faculty will get preference over students from BSS?
Courses offered by State Medical Faculty are for Higher Education. We offer courses on Vocational Training only for the unemployed youth, school drop-outs; those are even not having Physics-Chemistry-Biology in 10+2. So, successful students from State Medical Faculty may get preference over students from BSS.
7. Should we prefer admission in State Medical Faculty?
If you are having subject combination of P-C-B in 10+2, we encourage taking admission under SMF for higher studies. But if you don't get chance there, you may wait for the next year or alternatively you may pursue Vocational Training in our Institute. In any way we are not alternative to SMF as we are not offering scope of higher studies.
8. Will it be possible, pursuing free training course, we will be properly trained & able to earn?
Free training courses are not free at all. Government will pay your stipulated training fees to the Institute for your skill development, in order to help you earning. Course, syllabus, training infrastructure, evaluation is strictly monitored by the Statutory Bodies for your quality of the training. So if you attend classes regularly, after successful completion of the training you will be able to secure your earning.
9. We have taken so many free training but couldn't get a job.
It was your fault. Choice of the training subject should be job-oriented one. Regular attendance is necessary to develop the skill. A skilled person cannot be jobless. Because demand of skilled person in the job-market is very high at present.
10. Should you help us to get a job?
Of course we will help you. But we cannot assure you. In any job, requirement of communication skill, dedication, tenacity, discipline, skill on specific subject etc. is necessary. You have to acquire it. Prepare yourself towards your aim & we will help you to grow together. We are a training Provider, we are not a job-provider.
